We begin by removing the original damaged area and cutting back the excess to ensure that the remaining surface covered exactly what needs to be. Once we have the old drywall removed, we can begin to either install a new sheet where the damaged piece was, or apply the compound.

For projects that require sheets or drywall, we will cut the sheet to the exact size that we need it to be. We'll then place it in the area that we've cut back, and screw it into the studs. Once the sheet is in place, we will apply a healthy coat of mud and tape over the seams so the wall is completely smooth.

Just like with any drywall compound application, we require three coats before we can properly sand it down and have it ready for priming and painting.
